Teaching Interests:
I teach Introductory Biology in the core class sequence as well as Protein Structure and Function (BMB 465), Biology of Fungi (BIOL 425) and Symbiosis (BIOL 405).
Research Interests:
QoI resistance in Lake Erie Vineyards: My lab conducts an annual screen for resistance to the strobilurin class of fungicides in vineyards of the Lake Erie Grape Belt.
Mitochondrial structure and evolution of powdery mildew fungi: My lab is involved with an international effort to compare mitochondrial sequences from various powdery mildews to explore the evolutionary history of this important group of plant pathogens.
